Case Definition
Any child or young adult , who presents with new onset of acute behavioural change, seizures, dystonias or dyskinesias and has the presence of antibodies to the NR1 subunit of the NMDA receptor in the CSF and serum
Inclusion Criteria
All children between birth to 18 years old who fit the case definition above.
Exclusion Criteria
Patients with an encephalitic illness who meet the clinical criteria but with negative testing for the anti-NMDA receptor antibody.
